Sessions

All our private sessions are tailored to your needs. Whether you come alone or with 3 friends, with or without your children. A beginner or national athlete- we will provide you with a challenging, effective and appropriate workout. All our sessions are 45-minutes and you get to pick the type of workout! Pilates

Pilates is low impact and perfect for all levels and abilities. It can strengthen the core and overall body, work to improve posture, and offers the ability to savor the mind-body connection. When consistently practiced and properly executed pilates can:

  • Compliment rehab work to help strengthen and restore injuries;
  • Propel athletes toward peek performance and help them avoid injury;
  • Provide effective modifications for pre and post-natal clients.

Margaret has a foundation in STOTT PILATES; this method focuses on restoring natural curves of the spine while improving overall posture. During a session Margaret integrates various exercises to ensure a well-rounded repertoire. Classes are thoroughly planned and appropriately progressed to gain maximum benefits of the practice- and your time!

Initially, we work to master the STOTT PILATES basic principles, mobilize the spine, shoulder and hip joints, and strengthen the core. We then progress to build strength and endurance, stamina and pace, and coordination and balance, in that order.

Every session ends with stretching and meditation.

Strength

Strength training has many benefits, especially for moms! Functional movements like bringing groceries in, lifting your toddler, and many other activities of daily living can be improved. Lifting weights can increase muscle mass, bone density, mood, boost your metabolism, and improve your overall quality of life. 

At Mommy and Me with Margaret we use specialized soft weights to ensure safety while around the little ones. Margaret is a Certified American Council on Exercise Group Fitness Instructor and has experience teaching strength training to individuals of all ages and experience levels.

CardioStrength

This sweat-fueled session will check all the boxes- cardio and strength training in one session! Fun music will make time fly as you get a great workout tailored to your needs. 

Barre

In barre we work core stabilizer muscles and hold positions under isometric tension. We focus on proper posture, balance and coordination. Unlike our STRENGTH sessions, we use lighter weights with more repetitions to work on muscular endurance.
