As a mother to three young children, I know what it’s like to try to find time for yourself. I designed my Mommy and Me sessions to focus on the MOM’s workout, while keeping the kids happy and engaged. In March of 2020, like many of us, I was home for months with my toddler (and baby). In between teaching Zoom pilates classes, I tried to get personal workouts in for myself. My toddler had other plans. The difficulty to get a workout in with my toddler running around led to the creation of Mommy and Me classes. What began on Zoom transitioned years later to in-person Mommy and Me Pilates, and then grew to add Strength, Barre, and CardioStrength options as well.
Toddlers partake in activities related to the exercise’s the mom is performing. We provide various fitness props for the moms and toys, bubbles, and stickers for the kids. The caregivers get a great workout in, the kids have a blast, and both enjoy quality time together. A true win-win.
At the beginning of each session I make it clear to the mom that the focus of this session is on THEM. Watching their face light up truly makes my day. Finally, a kid-friendly activity that focuses on the MOTHER. You do a lot for everyone else ALL THE TIME, this one is for you.
We also offer Mom-only sessions for moms with older kids in school, or for moms who just want adult alone time.
